Part 2. Why Upgrade SSD for XBOX ONE?

However, the disk shipped in XBOX ONE X is merely a Seagate 2.5-inch hard disk (model ST1000LM035), with absolutely 5400rpm. Even the 140MB/s peak transfer rate listed in the disk’s data sheet is still bottlenecking the gamer that are accessed frequently. If you plan to uplift the accessing speed, adding an SSD to your XBOX ONE is a good choice.
Game Nexus researchers have ever played XBOX ONE games with the internal HDD and with the external SSD. The test shows the following data:

Assassin’s Creed Origins35.1 seconds23.8 seconds
Denisty 224.1 seconds17.7 seconds
Final Fantasy XV67.5 seconds23.3 seconds

It is easy to find that the accessing time has been shortened when the XBOX is connected to the external SSD. Especially, Final Fantasy XV clearly has the most to gain from an SSD, with the accessing time reduction of 65%. These results say the necessity of upgrading XBOX ONE with SSD.

Part 3. Internal or External SSD?

We recommend you upgrade your XBOX ONE with an external SSD because Microsoft has decided that upgrading the internal hard disk on your XBOX ONE will ultimately void your warranty.
