Steps

① Download and install Renee Undeleter.

② Use the card reader to connect the SD card to the computer. Then launch Renee Undeleter and select [Whole Partition Scan].

Part 2. How to Fix a Corrupted Micro SD Card?

The command CHKDSK and formatting are simple and common for most users. The steps are shown below.

1. Use CHKDSK to Fix Micro SD Card

CHKDSK is a free Command Prompt command in Windows, used to check and fix the micro SD card and the other disks. It doesn’t support all file systems of SD cards, only FAT and NTFS. If the micro SD card is not one of these systems, but HFS or EXT (used in Linux), you have to format the card.
① Insert the SD card into the card reader. Then connect it to computer.

② Press [Win + S] to search [cmd]. Right-click at Command Prompt to select [Run as administrator].

③ Type [chkdsk n:/f]. Replace “n” with the target drive letter of the partition, and /f is the order telling the command to fix any errors. This process takes some time, depending on how many contents need to be fixed.

Finally, insert the micro SD card into the phones/devices to check whether it works well. If not, you have to format it.

2. Format Micro SD Card

① Connect the micro SD card to the computer with a card reader.

② Open [This PC] and find the drive letter for your micro SD card. Then right-click to select [Format].

③ Now the formatting screen will appear. Check [Quick Format] and click [Start]>[OK] to format the SD card.
