2. How to Use Renee Undeleter?

Step 1: Insert the SD card into the card reader and then connect the reader to the computer. Download and install Renee Undeleter. Open the software and select [Whole Disk Scan].

Part 3: How If SD Card is Blank or Has Unsupported File?

1. Reinsert SD Card & Restart Device

Shut down the device and plug the SD card out. Then, clear the contacts of the SD card with an eraser. After that, reinsert the SD card and restart the device.

2. Run CHKDSK to Fix Error

The command CHKDSK can be used to fix Windows errors. Through this way, you can check the disk status and the disk memory, but also fix the disk errors. Here are the steps.
Step 1: Insert the SD card into the card reader and then connect the reader to the computer.
Step 2: Search [cmd] and select to run Command Prompt as administrator.

Step 3: In the following window, type [chkdsk G:/f] (G is the letter of the SD card) and press the Enter key to fix the disk errors. After that, connect the SD card to the computer and check whether it can be used.
Note: If the command [chkdsk G:/f] cannot solve the problem, you can use the command [chkdsk G:/r]. [/r] can be used to find out the bad sectors and recover the readable information.

3. Format SD Card

Formatting the SD card can fix many errors.
Steps:
Step 1: Insert the SD card to the card reader and then connect the reader to the computer. Open [This PC] and find out the SD card icon. Right click at the icon and select [Format].

Step 2: After that, select the suitable file system.
  • NTFS: NTFS is the best Windows file system, given to performance and data security. But it is not compatible with all operating systems. Mac OSX and Linux can read the NTFS partitions, but they cannot modify the inside data. Besides, it is not available in the flash drives.
  • FAT32: FAT32 is an old but still popular Windows file system. Now, it is mainly used in mobile storage devices with low capacity. Each file cannot be over 4 GB in the FAT32 file system. If the hard drive is over 1TB, it should be in the NTFS file system. Besides, some digital cameras, game consoles and set-top boxed merely FAT32, but not NTFS.
  • exFAT: exFAT is the file system used for flash drives in Windows. It is the supplement for FAT32 which doesn’t support flash drives. It supports a file up to 16EB and a volume up to 24ZB.
