Solution 2: Use Startup Repair in Windows Recovery Environment

Startup repair can effectively fix many problems. When you perform it, system will be scanned and damaged files will be repaired.

Step 1: Download Windows 10 Media Creation Tool on another normal PC and create Windows 10 installation disc.

Step 2: Launch the Media Creation tool. Then select the second option “Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) for another PC”.

Step 3: Select “USB flash drive”. Please ensure the capacity of your USB flash drive is 8GB at least .

Step 4: Windows 10 begins to download. Please wait patiently.
Step 5: Connect the USB to target PC. Change the boot order in BIOS setup and put “Removable Devices” as the first boot choice. Then boot the PC from USB flash drive.

Step 6: Click “Repair your computer” in the bottom-left corner after you boot your PC from USB.

Step 7: When you enter Windows recovery environment, select “Troubleshoot”> “Advanced options”> “Startup Repair”.

Note: Restart the PC after you finish the entire recovery process.

Solution 3: Check the Disk and System Files

Step 1: Repeat Solution 2. Select “Command Prompt” when you go into “Advanced options”.

Step 2: Once “Command prompt” pops up, type these commands in order: sfc /scannow, chkdsk c: /r. Please press “Enter” after you type each command.
“sfc /scannow” command is to check system files and fix them if they get damaged. “chkdsk c: /r” command is to scan and check the disk errors.

Solution 4: Rebuild the BCD Manually

Step 1: Repeat Solution 2. Select “Command Prompt” when you go into “Advanced options”.

Step 2: Once “Command prompt” pops up, type these commands in order: bootrec / fixmbr, bootrec / fixboot, bootrec / scanos, bootrec / rebuildbcd. Please press “Enter” after you type each command.

Step 3: Once you type above commands, Windows will be automatically scanned and BCD will also be rebuilt.

Solution 5: Restore System or Reinstall Windows System

If the error code 0xc0000225 appears recently and above ways still cannot solve your problem, you can try to restore system.

Step 1: Repeat Solution 2. Select “System Restore” when you go into “Advanced options”. Then type the administrator account name and password then follow on-screen instructions.

Step 2: If you don’t have an administrator account, please contact administrator or create a new one. However, you will need to reinstall system if this way cannot help you out as well.
