How to Factory Reset Lenovo Laptop (ThinkPad/Yoga)

One Key Recovery is able to reset Lenovo laptop to factory settings. At first, find out the Recovery Key. It’s usually on the sides of Lenovo laptop or next to the Power button that’s on the top of your keyboard. And then move on to the steps below.

Step 1: Connect the power source, press and hold the Recovery key for 5 seconds. (If you’re using an old model of ThinkPad, please press the blue button “ThinkVantage” to restore it.)

Step 2: When “Novo Button Menu” pops up, press “↓” arrow key to choose “System Recovery” then press “Enter”. Once you enter the One Key Recovery mode, please select “Restore from initial backup” and click on “Next”.

Step 3: Click on “Start”. When a message asks whether you confirm to restore the device to factory settings, just click on “Yes”. Then wait for the system restoration process finish. Finally, click “Restart” once it finishes.

How to Factory Reset Dell Laptop (Inspiration/XPS)

Note: Please connect the power source to your Dell laptop before going on to the steps below.

Step 1: Power on or restart your Dell laptop. On the login screen, hold down the “Shift” key, click on “Power button” and select “Restart” at the same time.

Step 2: When the options menu appears, select “Troubleshoot” then “Factory Image Restore”. And click “Next”.

Step 3: Check the box “Reformat the hard drive and restore systems software to factory conditions”. And click “Next”. Finally, wait for the system restoration process.

How to Factory Reset ASUS Laptop (VivoBook/ZenBook)

Step 1: Power on or restart your HP laptop. When you see the Asus logo on the screen, please Press F9 repeatedly.

How to Factory Reset Acer Laptop (Aspire/Predator)

Note: Please connect the power source to your Acer laptop before going on to the steps below.

Step 1: Power on or restart your Acer laptop. When you see the Acer logo on the screen, please Press “Alt + F10” key at the same time to enter advanced startup mode.

Step 3: Click “Restart” and wait for the system restoration process. Please set up your laptop according to the on-screen instructions after the recovery process finishes.

How to Factory Reset Apple Laptop(MacBook)

This method is also appropriate for restoring MacBook Pro and Macbook Air. Please connect the power source to your Apple laptop before going through the steps below.

Step 1: Hold down the “Command + R” key immediately after you restart your MacBook. Release the keys when the Apple logo appears. Your MacBook will go into recovery mode.

Step 3: Select your hard drive. Its default name is Macintosh HD if you didn’t rename it. And then click “Erase”.

How to Factory Reset Fujitsu Laptop (LIFEBOOK)

Note: Please connect the power source to your Fujitsu laptop before going on to the steps below. Next, we are going to restore Fujitsu laptop in Windows 10.

Firstly, please prepare an empty 16GB USB flash drive. And then follow these steps to create repair disk: Click on “Control panel”— “Recovery” —“Create repair disk” — check box “Backup system…” and click “Next” — Select the inserted USB drive and click “Create”. Next, start to restore your laptop.

Step1: Insert the new created repair disk. Power on or restart your laptop. Press F12 repeatedly when FUJITSU logo appears.

How to Factory reset Toshiba Laptop (Dynabook)

Note: Please connect the power source to your Toshiba laptop before going through the steps below.

Step 1: When the laptop is powered off, hold down the number key “0” and press Power button at the same time. Please don’t release the number key “0” until the warning message appears.

Step 3: Click “Recovery of Factory Default Software” and click “Next”.
