User name and passwrod are required to enter when we try to login Windows 10 in default. Although it can help us get a better protection to our computer, it is annoying for parts of computer users. And you may want to set Windows 10 login automatically. Here, we will provide 3 different methods for your to set Windows 10 auto login.

Method 1: Change the Account Settings with netplwiz

Attention:This method needs to be made with another account with administrative rights. If you do not have the password of the administrator or your forget the password, please refer to Method 2.
Step 1: Press “Windows” + “R” and then enter “netplwiz” in the pop up window. Click “OK”.

step 2: Select the account you want to login automatically. Then please uncheck the item “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.”. Finally click “OK”.

Step 3: Please enter the login password in the pop-up “Automatically sign in” window to verify.

Step 4: The next time you login Windows 10, you will skip the login screen and do not need to enter the user name and password.

Method 2: Set Windows 10 Auto Login with Renee PassNow

This method does not need any other account with administrator privilege. You can make it even you forget the administrator password.

Step 1: Download and install Renee PassNow in any workable Windows computer.

Step 2: Choose creation method, USB or CD/DVD.

Select one option from [Crate a Live USB] and [Create a Live CD]. Then, select [x64] or [x86] according to your computer. Next, click on [Download Now] to download the licensed ISO. Remember to activate the software beforehand. After that, click on [Create USB] to create the boot media.

Step 3: Boot the target PC from the created password reset USB/CD/DVD.

You will boot the target computer via a new created reset disk. Firstly, please hold a hot key to enter the BIOS menu and put CD-ROM or Removable Devices as the first choice. Please click here to know about how to change the boot order of your computer. After changing it successfully, please remember to save your setting and then restart your PC.

Step 4: Select “PassNow!”.

Step 5: Choose target account and then click “Clear Password”.  You will auto login Windows 10 after restarting the computer.

Method 3: Set Windows 10 Auto Login with Registry Editor

Attention: This method needs to be made with another account with administrative rights. If you do not have the password of the administrator or your forget the password, please refer to Method 2.
Step 1: Press “Windows” + “R” and then enter “regedit” in the pop up window. After that, please click “OK”.

Step 2: Find Winlogon by following the path below in Registry Editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Step 3: Find and set the value of “AutoAdminiLogin” to be 1. Then find and set the value of “DefaultUserName” to be the user name you want to auto login. Finally, please find and change the value of “DefaultPassword” to be the password of the auto login account.

Step 4: Restart the computer and the target account will login automatically.
